Cabernet

Our debut production, 'Cabernet' featured in Adelaide Fringe Festival's 2019 season. The show featured a cast of six dancers, a vocalist, aerialist and MC/ host all based in South-Australia.

The inspiration behind the show was to create a modern cabaret performance, with classic hints throughout. We aimed for the perfect combination of sass, quirk and class.

Our theme featured references to all types of alcohol,  and our stage names took to the likes of 'Gina Tonic,' 'Brandy,' and 'Bailey.'

The 60-minute performance took the audience through a typical night out in a bar, showcasing the personalities of each 'guest' paired with a routine that detailed their purpose and reason for being at the bar.

Our debut season was received well, and we were thrilled to perform to over 400 guests over 4 nights.

Cabernet Refined

After a strong first season, the desire to develop the show further led to the creation of spin-off production 'Cabernet Refined' listed in Adelaide Fringe Festival 2020.

The producers wanted to keep the foundations built by the original production and work on strengthening the concept and theme whilst also layering and adding elements to enhance the overall quality.

Cabernet Refined is described as a 'degustation' of acts. Each routine pairs with a characteristic of Cabernet Sauvignon whilst providing a light education to the audience.

The script brushes over the history and 'accidental cross-pollination' of two grapes to form what is known as Cabernet.

Our routines go from light and fruity to bold, and everything in between. One of the physical comedy highlights is a tutorial known as 'Sangria with Emily.'

The aerial display leaves audiences stunned, whilst the dance techniques are nothing less than impressive.

Cabernet Refined will again feature in Adelaide Fringe's upcoming season. Please keep an eye on our Events page for more details.
